Revamp for historic windmill
Published Date:

A MAMMOTH job took place at Shipley Windmill on Wednesday (September 3) as two of its four sails were removed.
The process of removing the large sails took eight hours and was carried out by the volunteers of the Friends of Shipley Windmill, together with volunteers from Jill Windmill near Brighton and the Sussex Mills Group.
This is the first time such a co-operative venture between mill groups has been undertaken.
