AROUND 1,500 runners tackled the Barns Green Half Marathon yesterday (Sunday November 2).

Chichester runner James Baker made it a hat-trick by winning the race for the third year running.

Crawley's Julie Briggs was the first lady home.

This was the 26th running of the event and was started by race secterary Penny Simpson who is stepping down after several years on the committee.
