YM forfeit cup tie
MILE Oak were handed a walkover win in the Brighton Charity Cup after Horsham YMCA were unable to raise a team for last night’s scheduled match.
YM chairman Mick Browning would only say: “We have one or two things to sort through at the moment and will be releasing a statement soon.”
The game was originally scheduled for last Saturday but was another to fall foul of the weekend’s freezing temperatures.
YM manager Mark Hawthorne is still searching for his first win since taking over from Sammy Donnelly at the start of the year.

Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 12:14 PMI should add that Mick says YM will have no problem fielding a team for Saturday's Div 1 game at East Grinstead Town and insists there are no major problems at the club. Players being away for half term was the main reason for not fulfilling last night's fixture and they have apologised to both Mile Oak and the league.
