Sussex batsman warns of Notts bowling threat

THE bowling firepower of Nottinghamshire should be a highlight of the Sussex Cricket Festival at Horsham.

That's the verdict of batsman Chris Nash, who is wary of the ability of the likes of Ryan Sidebottom, Charlie Shreck and Darren Pattinson ahead of the LV County Championship match at Cricketfield Road.

Horsham will host Sussex v Notts in a four day game, followed a Pro40 clash against Gloucestershire as the Sharks defend their title.

Nash said: "Nottinghamshire have such a strong bowling attack, Ryan Sidebottom, Charlie Shreck, Darren Pattinson and Samit Patel – they are all England or England A players.

"We have had some really good games with Notts over the last few years, if we get a good start, who knows."
