PULBOROUGH’S Billy Twelvetrees missed out on a place in the England Six Nations squad today, but can take consolation from his inclusion in the Saxons set up.

Leicester ace Twelvetrees scored all the Tigers’ points as they beat Wasps 29-11 on Saturday, and had pundits tipping him as a dark horse for Stuart Lancaster’s 32-man elite squad.

The centre, who deputised at fly-half for Toby Flood on Saturday, grew up in Pulborough and began his rugby career there, he first shot to the nation’s attention with a virtuoso display in his Leicester debut in the Heineken Cup in 2009.
