A COMMANDING 39-0 victory over Rye on Saturday secured Pulborough RFC the Sussex 1 title and promotion with a game to spare.
The win at Freelands, coupled with East Grinstead II’s defeat to Brighton II ensured Boro cannot now be caught.
The club’s first Sussex 1 title means the club will next season be playing in London 3 South East along with near neighbours Horsham, the highest level of rugby the club has ever competed at.
Boro will celebrate their title in front of their home fans next Saturday when they play their final match of the season.
Full match report and pictures in this week’s West Sussex County Times, out on Thursday.
