HORSHAM coach Nick Stocker has told his side to expect the unexpected despite all but securing their London 3 South East status on Saturday.
Despite a narrow 28-26 defeat at Folkestone, Crawley also lost against Eastbourne meaning The Green and Whites have a four point cushion above the drop zone going into the final weekend of matches.
For Crawley to stand any chance, they need to not only beat leaders and title chasing Heathfield, but do so by scoring four tries as well as winning by more than ten points while also needing Horsham to get thumped by Crowborough.
Stocker said: “We’re not mathematically safe, but for Crawley to beat Heathfield, who I know are desperate for promotion it would be an amazing result.
“But rugby is one of those games when you never know what will happen, and if Crawley do pull off a shock then who’s to say we can’t do the same. I know the guys are already talking about Crowborough and what better way to finish the season with a bang.”
