Faygate racer John Mickel has finished third in the National UK Legends Championship.
John claimed three podium finishes across six races at Brands Hatch last weekend, including two wins, to finish with 7,010 points, 215 behind second placed Dean Brace.
The legends championship features cars based on pre-war Ford, Chevy and Dodge cars, and makes for entertaining door-door racing.
Former Nascar racer Mickel drew pole position in the first race, and led from lights to flag, before battling his way to third in the second race and second in the third race, both with reverese grids, which place the highest points scorers at the rear of the field.
In a testing second day, Mickel finished tenth in the opening race, but was promoted to first in the second race of the day after a collision between Brace and Lawrence Davey, which saw race winner Davey disqualified on appeal.
