The new North Sussex Table Tennis Challenge will be launched on Friday October 19, with the aim of increasing participation.
Set-up as an Olympic Legacy event, the North Sussex Challenge will be fixed on a Friday in a centralised and high quality facility buzzing with the atmosphere of many people having a good time playing and enjoying the social benefits of the sport. Newly purchased tables from a Sport England grant will be arriving soon to ensure players will enjoy top quality equipment.
Based at Collyers Sixth Form College, it is also expected that the initiative will attract many young adults into participating in a sport that offers lots of fun to all but also a pathway to those keen to develop their sporting performance level.
There are two slots available - an early session (6-7.45pm) for juniors of all abilities and adult beginners, and a later session (8-9.45pm) for junior intermediates and above and adults of any level.
