Stout House go top in tight Bar Billiards league

Mill House recovered well from the previous week’s loss as Division 1 of the Horsham & District Bar Billiards League continues to be tight.

Mick Holmwood, Clive Thompson, Margaret Thompson, Barry Timson and Tony Franks all won in a whitewash of the Holbrook Club.

Stout House BB went top, as Ricky Dewdney scored 11k against Southwater. Olie Wilkins hit back for the four-man visitors and despite Jeff Raine’s point, Adam Kuzimski levelled before Sam Short took the walkover for 3-2.

Dun Horse are fifth but just four points off the lead, after whitewashing the Windmill. Meanwhile, Roffey Club Y dropped to third. Lee Cable and Mick fairs gave them a 2-0 lead but Division 2 table-toppers Limeburners hit back through Steve Holden, Chip Sawyer and Mick Johnson to seal a 3-2 win.

Dun Horse B look convincing at home, and went second with a 4-1 defeat of Black Dog. Alan Downs put the Dog on the board first up, but it was all one way traffic after, as Rob Hall took control with an 11k score, Peter Edwards edged Horse in front before Lorraine Hall (7,000) and Jim Greensted applied the finishing touches with an 11.5k haul.

Elsewhere Windmill B registered a first win as Dave Lennon, Barry Dumbrill, Lin Lennon and Steve Eeley sealed a 4-1 score against Plough.
