John Dawes threw two 180s as The Railway’s Horsham District Darts League season got off to a flying start with an 8-1 demolition of Broadbridge Heath VC B.

Broadbridge Heath VC A’s captain Gary Kennard also hit a brace of maximums to help his side to a 5-4 defeat of The Windmill, despite Barry Dumbrill’s 109 outshot.

Kings Arms won their first game of the season returning from The Cat & Canary with a 5-4 win.

Roffey S&SC C are the only team in the division with a 100 per cent record following a 7-2 win over HFC@The Norfolk. Last week’s leaders Rising Sun were brought down to earth after losing 5-4 at home to Roffey S&SC A, while Rising Sun Alliance lost for the second consultative week, after going down 6-3 at Kings Arms, Horsham. Nick Dunn hit the week’s highest finish of 120 in his side’s 7-2 win over Horsham C&SC.
