Horsham Bar Billiards update

Black Dog completed a whitewash of Division 2’s basement boys Holbrook Club in the latest round of fixtures in the Horsham & District League Bar Billiards League.

Dave Evans, Alan Downs, Darrell Skinner, Chris Kirkham and Steve King wrapped-up victory.

At the top Roffey Club surged ahead with a 4-1 defeat of Dun Horse. Richard Spurrier hit 7k to cancel out Roffey’s opener from Bob Hayes, but after Gareth Lloyd scored a superb 15k in one visit, Roffey were relentless, with wins for Dick Cable and lee Cable.

It was tight between Plough and Limeburners in Division 2’s top of the table battle. Mick Johnson and Steve Holden gave Burners the advantage, before Mark Webber and Kieran Budd turned it round, only for Plough’s Dave Vizor to win it in the last with 5k.

Stout House BB made the most of other results and a week off for Dun Horse B, with a 5-0 defeat of Windmill A. Ricky Dewdney led the way with 12k, while Adam Kuzimski , Pete Hartley, Dick Dewdney and Sam Short also recorded wins.

Mill House sit four points off top spot in Division 1. Mick Holmwood and John Haigh gave them a good start against Southwater, and while Ollie Wilkins notched Southwater’s only point, Tony Franks and Clive Thompson wrapped it up,

Stout House A remain in third place with a win at The Windmill.

Captain Dave Howlett kicked off with a solid win and a refreshed Gordon Carver made it two against Steve Eely. Glyn Owen took on strong opposition in Dave Lennon but secured the match win with a commanding 4780, Windmill B then got going to gain two points with wins for Barry Dumbrill and Mike Lennon.
