Horsham Bar Billiards update: Dun Horse extend advantage

Dun Horse B have taken a commanding lead in Division 1 of the Horsham & District Bar Billiards League with a 5-0 whitewash of Southwater.

First up Rob Hall won a tight match against Gordon Ling, before Peter Edwards’ 5k and a mighty 11k from Jim Greenstead wrapped up victory,

An entertaining contest saw Dun Horse A overcome Stout House A. John Tidy and Graham Sparksman traded points before Dave Howlett put the Stout in front with a last ball 200 shot. Although Jim Broderick squared the match up, Roy Wells sealed the win.

Mill House were narrowly beaten by Roffey Club Y. John Haigh and Mick Fairs ensured it was 1-1 before Lee Cable’s 8,590 put Roffey ahead. Gareth Lloyd cancelled that out, before Clive Thompson sealed a 3-2 win.

Steve King set Black Dog on their way to a 4-1 defeat of Windmill A, and although Rob David won the second, Dave Evans, Alan Downs and Chris Kirkham wrapped it up.

Mike Lennon clinched the winning point in Windmill B’s win at Limburners. He beat Melvin Blake after wins for Barry Dumbrill, Steve Holden, Tony Temple and Dave Lennon.

Elsewhere, Plough beat Stout House BB 4-1. Keith Potter, Steve Vizor, Kieran Budd and Mark Webber won for Plough while Adam Kuzimski salvaged BB’s point.
