Billingshurst make good Sussex League progress
Billingshurst Tennis Club’s Ladies thirds had a winning end to 2012, beating Bognor Ladies seconds 3-1.
In their first season in the LTA Sussex County Leagues, Billingshurst have drawn one match and lost another, so they were highly pleased with their 3-1 success.
Shirley Cook and Rachel Rodd won both of their rubbers 6 – 2, 6 – 4, while Jackie Bench and Laura Crow played well to beat Bognor’s second pair in an exciting Championship tie break but ran out of steam against the opposition’s strong first pair.
