Young Slinfold golfer Amber Cockram clinched a convincing win in the Bobby Locke Open at Goodwood.

Amber shot a gross 76 over the South Downs course to win the tournament, named in honour of the four-time Open champion and Goodwood regular, continuing her stunning progress against a formidable line-up of competitors from across the south of England.

She has already reached the Sussex Ladies Championship final, and won the Slinfold Ladies Club Championship, so the Goodwood junior crown capped a superb 2012 - just three years after taking up golf.

And as an added bonus for the three main prize winners including Charlie Parsons and England regional squad member Charlie Strickland was the chance to drive a competitive Mini saloon around the famous Goodwood racetrack under expert supervision.

The 18 hole medal event attracted players with handicaps ranging from 1 to 28.
