Christ’s Hospital-based Bluecoat Sports is hoping to help World No.65 ranked squash player Oli Pett into the 2020 Olympic Games.

Two lifeguards from the centre, Cali Stanton and Alex Finch volunteered in the Aquatics Centre during London 2012, and Bluecoat could have an impact in eight years’ time.

Pett, a former pupils at the Weald School in Billinghsurst trains on their courts, and although squash is not currently an Olympic sport, there is a campaign behind its inclusion.

Bluecoat manager Nigel McMahon said: “Bluecoat Sports is immensely proud that we were able to play a small part in delivering the Olympics Games in London. We provide Olivier with facilities and hope squash will be included in the 2020 Olympic Games.”
