GOLFER Reg Neal has written a small piece of history at Bratislava’s prestigious Welten Golf Club.

The Mannings Heath member was the first player ever to hole out for an albatross two at the 506-yard par five third hole and also the first to achieve the feat in the 30-year history of the European Senior Golf Association’s annual championships.

Six-handicapper Reg cut off the conventional dog leg route to the green with a six iron second shot from 178 yards and now has his name and photograph permanently on the club’s honours board. He was in Slovakia as manager and captain of the UK Senior Golf Associations’s handicap team which finished fourth.
