FOR THE second year running, Millais School had ten gymnastics entered in the South East Regional School Sports Acrobatics competition in Tonbrige, Kent.
The event, on Sunday March 20, saw the girls entered as pairs in either the Under-13 or Under-19 age group, and for one duo - Nicole Taylor and Stephanie Dagnall - it proved especially golden.
Nicole (Year 7) and Stephanie (Year 8) came first out of 16 pairs in the U13s category and will now represent the South East Region at the National School Finals in Stoke in May.
Also in the U13s, Chloe Billingham and Sarah Washington Jones came fifth and Marley Wint and Alice Hobday were eighth to give Millais the bronze group prize.
In the U19s Helen Cain and Koren Thompson were fourth and Emma and Rachel Jones sixth. All the girls worked extremely hard to train for the competition and on a day when scoring was very close they were a credit to their school.
