HORNETS manager Justin Luchford has left the club following their second successive 5-0 defeat.

Horsham went out of the FA Trophy on Saturday with a heavy loss to Chesham, four days after being thrashed by the same scoreline at Folkestone in the Ryman League Cup.

Luchford was appointed manager in the summer after the departure of long serving boss John Maggs and had to rebuild the squad from scratch.

But after a torrid run which has seen former Faversham boss Luchford’s team go winless in the league since August and slip into the bottom three of the Ryman Premier, it has been agreed he and the club should part company. Assistant manager Hugo Langton has been appointed caretaker manager, while Richard Langley will remain as coach.
