SOUTHWATER racer Jolyon Palmer hopes to end his maiden GP2 season on a high with a first points finish at Monza this weekend.
The 20-year-old has been among the top rookies in the Formula 1 feeder series, and with two races remaining will be looking to positive experiences of the 5.793km Italian circuit - he won there twice last season on his way to a second place finish in the F2 Championship.
And Jolyon has an improvement on his 14th place at Spa, where he made up eight places form the back of the field, firmly in his sights.
The Arden International driver said: “I’m looking forward to Monza this weekend. It’s the final round of the season and on a track I have enjoyed good success on before so hopefully I can get some points and end this season on a high.”
The final rounds of the 2011 GP2 Series take place at Monza, Italy from 9-11 September with full coverage available on Jolyon’s official website. Coverage is also available via Eurosport and on Jolyon’s Facebook page.
