JOLYON Palmer was denied a top ten finish at Silverstone in the latest round of the GP2 championship.
The Southwater racer incurred a 30 second penalty after guiding his car to tenth through changeable weather conditions at the Northamptonshire circuit on Saturday - but he came into contact with Esteban Guttierrez during an overtaking move. The stewards’ decision to dock him 30 seconds meant he fell to 21st in the official results.
In Sunday’s sprint race, Jolyon’s Arden International car picked up several place son the opening lap, and he finished 16th.
He said: “There have been lots of positives this weekend, though, and I hope to convert those into a points finish at the Nürburgring.”
