Horsham Joggers have claimed more honours in the Sussex Grand Prix road race series.
In addition to the fine individual performances in the Barns Green Half Marathon last week, the Joggers set a championship record at the Sussex County Cross Country Relay Championships and claimed a string of honours in the latest Sussex Grand Prix race at Lewes.
At Cross Country Relay Championships , the Joggers’ Vet 50 Men team of Dean Angell (14m07s), Tony Frankland (15.30), Steve Wigmore (14-54) and Pete O’Connell (14-14) combined to break the championship record in 58m45s.
And in the Lewes Downland 10 miler, Bryan Camfield led the Joggers home in 66m 01s, finishing as first VetMale 45. Cat Corck finished as 2nd senior female in 77m17s. Janine Littler was 3rd Vet 40 female in 84m14s. Cat, Janine and Ali Gormley combined to win the Ladies team event.
Mark McPate followed his recent PB marathon and Half Marathon times with a fine 78.34s. And the weekly Tilgate Park Run 5k saw Michael Saunders clock 20minutes, 55ssecond followed by, Paul Addie (23-10) and Diane Berry (30-07).
