HORSHAM’S Atlantis swimming club registered a convincing win in the latest round of the Sussex Swimming League Division 1 on Saturday night.
Competing against near neighbours Mid-Sussex Marlins and Littlehampton, the Atlantis team made its intentions clear from the first race with Rebecca Lobley winning the under-16 individual medley.
After ten of the 55 events Atlantis had raced into a 20-point lead. As the evening wore on Atlantis gradually extended its lead.
With Brighton already crowned league champions, Atlantis head into their final gala at K2 in 2 weeks time against Crawley and East Grinstead in search of the runners-up spot - which would equal the club’s highest ever Sussex League finish it achieved last year.
