A HUGE crowd is expected to watch a new generation of Horsham boxing talent emerge at the club’s annual show on Saturday night.
Injuries and retirements at Horsham ABC this year mean the spotlight will fall on some of the younger fighters in the show to be held at a packed Holbrook Club on Saturday evening. And it will be the club’s first show since chairman Bob Morris passed away earlier this year, forcing the postponement of their annual event as a mark of respect.
Horsham ABC’s Dan Purchase said: “It will be emotional, it is the first show since Bob died and the night will be dedicated to him.”
With the likes of former club captain Ben Gumbrell, who has take up coaching due to a back injury, it will a chance for the younger members to step up.
Dan added: “They are all different and will be exciting to watch. Tickets have started flying out of the door in the past few days.”
Names on the bill to watch out for include the experienced Ben Pringle and new talent Sam Pothacary.
Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets priced £12 are available from Apache Horsham and Horsham Barbers.
