Horsham Joggers brave Henfield heat

Horsham Joggers runners braved the heat to complete the Henfield Half Marathon on Sunday.

Paul Ockley led the six-strong Joggers contingent home, in a time of 1hour, 35minutes, 7seconds.

He was closely followed by Mark Greet who clocked 1h.36m58s.

Meanwhile, The weekly Tilgate 5k Park Run saw a fine run by Steve Bracken in 21m20s follwed by Raff Vitale (21m27s) .

A week earlier, Lucinda potten was the second female finisher in the The West Sussex Fun Run League Tilgate Forest 5 mile, clocking 32m, 2s. Mark Bolton followed her home in 42m.29s.

The weekly Tilgate Park Run saw another fine run by Raff Vitale, who finished in 21m14s and Vic Dooley (21m34s.) Paul Addie followed them in 22m.43s and Victoria Saunders brought the team home in 46.36s.

Many club members are now training hard for the forthcoming Barns Green Half Marathon and following that the club will be holding its fifth Learn To Run course, which builds unexperienced runners up to a 5k race .
