Three Horsham girls have been selected for the England Basketball U15 Girls Team that played a friendly match against Sweden U16 Girls at UWE Camp in Bristol on June 23 after attending a National Training Camp day.
Daniela Lozzi (99) from Farlington School, Haylee Miller (98) from Millais School and Holly Merchant (98) from Holy Trinity School played together to represent their country - the first time three girls from Horsham have done so.
For Daniela it was her first competition with an England team, while Holly played recently an U15 Tournament in Copenhagen, and both Haylee and Holly played for England in an international tournament last season in Edinburgh.
Haylee and Holly played last season National League for Worthing Thunder U16 girls’ team, while Daniela played National League for the Sevenoaks Suns U14 girls’ team.
All the three girls are involved with South East RPC (Regional Perfomance Centre) Program that aims to improve personal skill development of young basketball players.
