HORSHAM earned their second win in a row and first in the league this season with a 3-1 win against Tooting & Mitcham.
Club legend Gary Charman put them in the lead, having pushed up from defence, with a 27th minute header..
Tooting soon responded with an equaliser six minutes later which was scrambled into the goal from close range by Kieron Kenlock.
Ryman Marriott restored Horsham’s lead to 2-1 at half-time with a well-taken finish on 45 minutes, running around advancing keeper Darren Bechet before placing the ball to his left.
Horsham looked in dominant form during the second half and increased the lead with a third goal midway through the second half.
Billy Medlock scored his first goal for the club in the 65th minute with a superbly taken 25-yard shot direct from a free-kick which soared gloriously into the top right hand corner.
Horsham should have won the game by a bigger margin had not Tony Nwachukwu hit the post from the penalty spot two minutes before the end.
Hornets fielded three new loan signings, two of whom started - left back Billy Joe King, striker Darren Lok and from the bench, defender Tom Gilbert.
They had joined from Conference South clubs Eastbourne Borough and Tonbridge Angels on Thursday night and all contributed to what was only their second home win in successive seasons.
Altogether manager Simon Colbran made four changes to the starting lone-up from the side which beat Raynes Park Vale 3-1 in their FA Cup replay on Tuesday.
King, Lok, Matt Simpson and Medlock replaced James Brockhurst, Abedimi Bolaji, Kery Kedze and the injured Wayne Clarke.
