HUGO Langton has been officially appointed Horsham FC boss.
Langton has been in charge of the Hornets as caretaker manager since the departure of Justin Luchford last month, but following a committee meeting last night (Monday) where he outlined his plans for the club’s future, chairman Kevin Borrett officially announced the appointment today.
He said: “In the time Hugo has been caretaker manager he has recruited some strong players to the squad and performances on the field have been much improved.
“We believe the club is now heading in the right direction and this appointment will give the club stability at a vital time.
“We will give Hugo all the support he requires and wish him every success in his new role.”
Langton, who was assistant manager to Luchford before he quit the club, has guided Horsham to one win, two draws and two defeats in his first five games at the helm.
Responding to the news via twitter, Langton said: “It’s official. I am delighted to say I am now the permanent manager of Horsham FC.”
