HAYLEY Moore has reached the final furlong of her bid to become Britain’s first female horse racing commentator.
The race to be crowned winner of the ‘Filly Factor’ will reach its conclusion next weekend when Hayley, from Lower Beeding, goes head to head with Rachel Casey at Ascot on July 24 for a £2,500 cash prize plus a place on the industry’s commentary training course.
Hayley, 24, the sister of former champion jockey Ryan, won through to the final after she wowed judges with a live call at Doncaster.
She said: “It was such a buzz. I loved every minute of it. I just can’t wait for the final.”
The winner will be chosen via a text message vote among the crowds at Ascot, and their performances will be broadcast on satellite racing channel attheraces, where viewers can also vote.
