Lower Beeding trained Fruity O’Rooney was left trailing by winner Bobs Worth dewpite a brave run in the Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury on Saturday.

Fruity O’Rooney, trained by Gary Moore at Cisswood Stables made the early running and finished seventh in the traditionally competitive staying handicap chase.

The nine-year-old is owned by Sussex-based group Heart of the South Racing.
