Simon Colbran has quit as Horsham Football Club manager.
A statement on the club’s website said: “Horsham Football Club regrets to announce that Simon Colbran has resigned from his position of first team manager.
“During a lengthy discussion with club officials on Thursday night Simon explained that his own business obligations, as well as travelling issues, had made it difficult for him to maintain the level of commitment needed to fulfil the role. Horsham Football Club would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Simon for the dedication he has shown since his appointment to the role in November 2011 and we wish him well in his current and future ventures.
“Assistant-Manager Gary Charman will take charge of the first team for tomorrow’s visit to Sittingbourne and will have discussions with the Board early next week with regards to making the position more permanent.”
