Burgess Hill’s home match against Horsham today (Saturday) has been postponed because of a waterlogged Leylands Park pitch.

The Hornets have now seen 13 of their last 15 fixtures called off because of the continued wet weather.

The Sussex County League schedule has again been hit hard, although at the time of this story (10.30am) some clubs were still hopeful of getting games on.

In the Horsham District the following matches are definitely off:

Horsham YMCA v Crowborough; Broadbridge Heath v Mile Oak; Loxwood v Westfield; Bexhill v Steyning; Billingshurst v Langley Wanderers; Rottingdean Village v Roffey.

Elsewhere, also off are: Arundel v Hassocks, St Francis Rangers v Chichester City; Ifield v Hurstpierpoint.
