TALENTED Jocelyn Hunt is on the road to the Olympics after receiving a call up to the Great Britain junior squad.
The 13-year-old is the latest in a long line of successful gymnasts to be produced by Horsham Gymnastic Club, and will represent her country in an international match against France in Blackpool later this month.
Gymnasts of Jocelyn's age, who are involved in national squads, are among those being readied to compete at the 2012 London Olympics.
Jocelyn earned her place after impressing in domestic tournaments, she was seventh in the British Championships in the artistic gymnastics category - bar, beam, vault and floor. Team GB officials then monitor performance throughout the year before making the selection.
Coach Maxine Pucknell said: "You have to be a very good all round artistic gymnast, if you have one discipline you are particularly weak in, it will not be good enough to be in the squad.
"Only time will tell how good she can be, Jocelyn has been improving a lot this year ,we just hope she can continue and it;s very difficult to predict where you will end up.
"It's a very demanding sport and it's not easy to stay at the top of it and keep on the right path. We hope she will stay in the national squad until the Olympics."
