Improved Horsham impress

GOALS from new arrivals Dean Wright and Jay Lovett helped an improved Horsham side see off Oxford City in a friendly on Saturday.

The strikes, both fine individual efforts, set up a 2-0 win as the Hornets recovered from a 3-0 defeat last Tuesday to Worthing.

Manager John Maggs said: "That was 200 per cent better than Tuesday night.

"They are a good side and played some good football. We had to go back to the start after tyhe Worthing game and it has worked."
