Horsham look to recover some pride at Lewes
A TEST of Horsham's ability to bounce back from adversity awaits this weekend as they look to recover from their trouncing at the hands of Preston Nomads.
Saturday's match was over before tea as leaders Nomads raced to a ten wicket win after rushing Horsham out for 86.
Now Alan Law's side face Lewes away, hoping to put last week's misery behind them against the division's bottom side.
Law will not be playing, so Luke Marshall is set to step in and assume the captaincy role.
"You can't read too much into it, it's just one of those games," Law remarked.
"It's more important now to see how we respond.
"I'm looking for us to regroup and go hard on Saturday. Lewes have beaten Hastings and held their own against Haywards Heath."
Opening batsman Michael Thornely will be missing, serving a ban for dissent against Cuckfield, Mark Nash is also unavailable, as is Will Beer who is playing for Sussex against Australia.
Law added: "All the boys are hurting, we will after a defeat like that, but we go back to the drawing board and come back strong."
