Horsham boss Langton avoids ban

HUGO Langton has been found not guilty following a successful appeal against his sending off against Lowestoft Town at the start of January.
The Horsham boss was sent to the stands in a controversial match that also saw both Williams Peauroux and former Hornet Seny Diedhiou red carded late on in a 2-1 defeat at Gorings Mead.
Langton was charged with the use of foul and/or abusive language towards a match official, but today had confirmation that his appeal had been successful.
It means he will avoid any touchline ban, likely to have been three matches, but he was fined £50 for comments he made about referee Andrew Roberts during and after the game.
Langton said: “It was important to me that I clear my name because I don’t want to be seen to be a bloke who’s rude or abusive to match officials when I’m not so I’m glad that’s been cleared up.
“I have been fined £50, basically for calling the referee a clown indirectly during the game and then to you guys (the media) afterwards, which I can accept.”
