LOXWOOD manager Barry Hunter said Tuesday night’s 3-1 win at Bexhill was their best performance of the season.
Top scorer Damon Aston scored a brace with Tony Nwachukwu also on the scoresheet as Magpies jumped up a place to fifth in Division 2.
Brothers Ross and Duncan Hirschfield excelled at the back for Loxwood.
Boss Hunter said: “It was a very good win, probably the best we have played all season to move us to fifth.
“It was an excellent result and thoroughly deserved.”

Forest were also in action on Tuesday, where they gained a vital three points in their fight to avoid the drop with a 3-2 win at TD Shipley. Shaun Findlay scored two, with a Jake Holmes goal coming in between.
