Crawley Town have signed Millwall’s Josh Wright and Preston’s Keith Keane on three-month loan deals today.
The two midfielders have joined from Reds’ League One rivals as well as the Championship side.
Wright, 24, signed for Millwall in 2011 and has made two appearances for the Lions this season, making it 53 in total since he joined the club.
Keane, 27, joined Preston in 2012 and has played 77 games, including 46 last season.
He will also be available for Crawley in the JP Trophy and FA Cup.
Reds manager John Gregory said: “Josh is a good fit for us as a hardworking, creative midfielder who has played most of his football at this level or above.
“He’s committed to us for three months and we think he has a lot to offer. He’s a very good footballer who looks after the ball well.
“We’re delighted to have Keith on board, I think he is just what we need at the moment.
“He’s a winner, plain and simple, and he’s a leader too. He always wants the ball, he has a great engine and fantastic ability and we’re thrilled he’s agreed to come down for the next three months. He was captain quite a few times for Preston last season which says a lot about him as a leader.”
The loan agreement for 27-year-old former Republic of Ireland under-21 international Keane, who can also play in defence, is effective from Friday.
He began his career with Luton Town and in nine years at Kenilworth Road, when he played at every level from Championship to the Conference, he made 277 appearances and scored seven goals.
Wright started his career at Charlton in 2007. He made two appearances in three seasons for the Addicks and had loan spells with Barnet and Brentford and Gillingham before leaving The Valley in 2009 to sign for Scunthorpe United.
He made 81 appearances and played in the Championship for the Iron and scored his only goal for the club in a League Cup tie in 2010, before returning south to Millwall.
