New teenage striker Aaron Scott has been tipped to ‘cause a lot of problems’ in the Ryman South.
The 19 year old came off the bench for his Horsham debut in the Boxing Day win at Worthing having signed on Christmas eve. Scott was prolific for Brentford’s Academy side before being released earlier in the season and Hornets boss Simon Colbran said: “We’re extremely lucky he’s chosen to sign for us.
“His attitude is brilliant and he’s going to cause teams a lot of problems.
“He’s quick and strong and because he’s been coached at a professional club he’s attitude is spot on and he does the right things on the pitch.
“That showed at his first training session where he was banging in the goals.”
The signing is timely with Evan Archibald absent for three months with work commitments.
With Scott Tipper and Billy Medlock in the squad, Colbran has good options in attack. And he was delighted to see forward Tony Nwachukwu back on the scoresheet after a long term injury. He said: “The goal will give him massive confidence. He needs to improve his match fitness but having him back it’s like we’ve made two signings.”
