STEVE Davies is understood to have joined Worthing, following Alan Mansfield and Jamie Brotherton out the door to Woodside Road.

Davies, a striker who can also play in midfield, was a regular in John Maggs’ side last season but is thought to have agreed terms to join Chris White’s Rebels at the start of the week.

Along with the trio leaving for Worthing, Mark Knee joined Whitehawk this week, Gary Charman has joined Eastbourne Borough, Ben Andrews and Anthony Storey have signed for Tonbridge Angles while Jamie Cade is also understood to have left the club.

The Hornets new assistant manager Hugo Langton, has insisted that he, new manager Justin Luchford and Richard Langley will be able to assemble a side capable of competing in the Ryman Premier come the start of the season.
