HORSHAM YMCA were undone by two headed goals as they failed to heed the warnings of manager John Cumberbatch at Faversham on Saturday.
Ashley Brown scored a brace of headers, both from corners, to maintain the hosts’ good run of form which has seen them lose just once in 13 games.
And on the back of a 3-0 defeat of leaders Met Police, YM were disappointed to have lost in the fashion they did.
“I would not say they were two goals better than us,” Cumberbatch said. “They were that bit more organised than us, and I put that down to the fact that we have not had enough time to go through a lot of the things we need to.
“We knew exactly how they would play, Faversham are a very direct side and go forward at their first opportunity.
“Despite knowing that and spending quite a bit of time going through that, we were undone by two set pieces, two headers from corners and naive marking.”
Gavin Gordon had YM’s best chance when he looped the ball over from Spancer Sachies’ cross which took an awkward bounce.
