Horsham YMCA manager Peter Buckland was on top of the world after his side battered Lancing 7-1 in the FA Vase second round.
They roared to a 3-0 lead at half-time thanks to goals by Matt Crane, Matt Simpson and Ashley Dugdale.
YM then added four more in the second half with goals by Sam Schaaf, Max Howell, Nick Sullivan and Dave Brown.
Buckland said: “Where it matters is in the final third of the pitch and that’s where we were excellent.
“Two or three goals were sublime, just one-touch passing.
“One goal was the end result of about nine passses and a tap-in the back of the net. Nick Sullivan’s goal was particularly pleasing because that’s what we practise all the time.
“If you keep rotating the ball, make yourself available, be a green light, the openings are there, people can’t live with it.
“Where we struggle as a side is when we go behind. When we get our noses in front, we’re like a pack of wolves, they really are, led by Browny (Dave Brown). Confidence just oozes out of them.
“I knew when we got that first goal it would be a comfortable afternoon and we punished them.
“Man of the match was Ashley Dugdale in central midfield, who had a captain’s game.”
