YMCA beat Alton in FA Cup

Horsham YMCA booked a spot in the preliminary round of the FA Cup with a 3-2 win over Alton Town this afternoon.

YM twice came from behind to win as Luke Gedling hit a wonder strike with ten minutes remaining.

Alton led 1-0 at half-time before Liam Hunter levelled ten minutes into the second half.

The visitors retook the lead but Hunter again restored parity on 64 minutes.

In the second round of the Peter Bentley Challenge Cup, local bragging rights again went to Broadbridge Heath as they beat Loxwood 3-1.

In the first round, Steyning Town crashed out with a 5-2 defeat to Oakwood.

In Division 2 of the Macron Store County League, Storrington beat Seaford Town 1-0 thanks to John Rhodie’s second-half goal.
