NEW HORSHAM YMCA boss Sammy Donnelly has completed a raid on former club Three Bridges as he rebuilds his squad.
For the second successive season, YM have almost had to build from scratch following a manager’s departure. And Donnelly has used his contacts book well.
So far signed to the Gorings Mead outfit is defender Lee Bradshaw from Wick, in addition to player/coach Simon Funnell, goalkeeper Simon Lockwood, midfielder/coach Mark Hawthorne, striker Dean Wright, winger Ashley Dugdale and forward George Hillier all from County League Division 1 rivals Three Bridges.
Donnelly hopes to retain the services of Scott Harris from last year’s line up.
He said: “Things have been very promising really considering there were so few players left from last season.
“The players I am bringing in are established and many of them have played at a higher level.”
