HORSHAM YMCA will hold interviews next week as they look to find a replacement for John Cumberbatch, who was told he was not wanted next season.
Relegated YMCA’s Ryman League future is in the balance, with a hearing on May 20 to decide whether or not they get a reprieve, but chairman Mick Browning, pictured, wants to have a manager in place by the end of next week regardless of what league they will be playing in next season.
He said: “We are doing the interviews next week, and will carry out the procedure properly. We want to give the manager coming in as much time as possible, but we will not rush our decision.”
Browning is hoping to employ someone living with 15-20 miles of Horsham, to help bring in more local players to the club.
He added: “We have closed the window of application, and we are just waiting to receive them all in the post. We have had a number of applicants, but we have had to turn some down as they do not live locally enough.”
