HORSHAM YMCA manager Colin Jenkinson has resigned after six months at Gorings Mead.
Jenkinson quit at the club’s monthy committee meeting on Monday night, following a miserable run of results which has left YM rock bottom of the Ryman League Division 1 South.
A statement from YM chairman Mick Browning said: “Colin was honourable in his statement in appreciating the club’s league position and felt that it was the right thing to do.
“The club thanked Colin for his loyalty and hard work in trying to get a winning side together but unfortunately poor results have continued and the committee felt that a change of manager was necessary in order to try and improve the results.”
Coaches Dean Potter and Phil Fitzgerald will take temporary charge of the playing staff until a new manager is appointed.
