Wisborough Green Under-12s didn’t concede a single goal and produced some brilliant football to win the CB Hounslow Youth summer tournament for a second year running on Saturday.

Pitted against tough opposition in Group 1, WG won all of their games against FC Real, Celtic Greens and Bedfont FC without letting in a goal and playing some great stuff in the sunny conditions in Middlesex.

They won the semi-final 1-0 with a fine solo goal form Lucca Cocoracchio to set up a final against hosts Hounslow Red - a match which proved a tense battle.

WG were quick out the traps, keeping the ball down while there was some solid defending from Daniel Animashaun and Lucca, who had been outstanding all day. After a goalless first half the breakthrough came when great link up play between Tommy Colbran and Reece Wylie saw the ball fed to George Sheridan, who arrowed a thunderbolt of a shot into the net to clinch a 1-0 win for Wisborough Green to see them retain the trophy.

It was an fantastic all-round team effort by the players, highlighting the standard of play throughout the day in hot temperatures.

Striker Tommy Chalaye was on top form throughout the day, rifling in a hat-full of goals.

WG will be entering two teams into this weekend’s Brockham tournament.
