Storrington manager Nigel Dyer admitted he was disappointed to have settled for a point after Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Bexhill.
Marcus Robertshaw’s well-executed lob in the dying moments earned the draw after Luke Jearum’s long-range opener was cancelled out by strikes from Martin Denny and Steve Morris 0- who scored with just four minutes to go.
Dyer said: “Instead of thinking the game was over we forced Bexhill to defend for the rest of the game and got what we deserved in the 90th minute. A draw was the least we deserved.
“You always expect a tough game against Bexhill especially at their place, also they are unbeaten in the league so far, so would have taken a draw before the game started. But after the game I was disappointed not to come away with all three points. As we played really well, created more chances and had more possession.”
