Robertshaw double can’t save Storrington

Marcus Robertshaw’s brace was too little too late for Storrington as they slumped to a heavy County League defeat at home to Mile Oak on Saturday.

A hat-trick from Oak hitman Liam Garrard saw the visitors run out emphatic 6-2 winners, and although two neat through balls from Tom Pickford which Robertshaw away to score in the 82nd and 86th minutes for the Swans, Garrard wrapped up his treble in the 89th minute.

Luke Jearum went also close for the Swans but boss Nigel Dyer blasted his side for some poor defending.

He said: “ I was after a good performance and hopefully a good result, but did not get either really.

“We have some good players at the club, we just need to get that confidence back and we will be fine.”
