NEW FOREST FC manager Dean Potter insists he is not fazed by the pressure of a two year plan to reach Senior football.

The County League Division 3 side confirmed former Horsham YMCA coach Potter as their man last week after their Sussex County League status was preserved by a reprieve from relegation, and the club is now aiming high.

Going into the new campaign, Forest will implement the first stage of a two year plan to get into Division 2 of the County League.

Potter said: “We have to have goals. There is no point in me going in there and saying I would be looking to finish second or third from bottom.

“For me it’s about ambition. Yes there is pressure, and I will be feeling it when the season starts, but for me that’s a good thing.

“In two seasons time we want to be in Division 2 of the County League.”
